As if their inane, overwrought ad campaigns weren't irritating enough:
Man, that is so wrong.
For the record, "alternative skate culture" hasn't been valid since the early 80s.
Yep, looks like some sort of copyright infringement or something to me. Sounds like Ian and the rest of the guys at Dischord absolutely hate corporations.
Wow. Like no one would figure it out huh? Boo Nike. Boo.
This is completeply ridiculas! I just lost even more respect for Nike than I thought possible ( meaning I had no respect in the first place ) Dischord should take the heartless corporation that is Nike to court and we can only hope that the complete mess of a judicial system that we have can pull their heads out of their a**es and show Nike that they are NOT above the law and have to follow the exact same guide lines as the rest of us. That is unless justice is for sale which in that case were all f@@@@@
That's just lame.
Ian's right to be mad....
...I've seen Ian when he's mad, and you don't want to be there.
+10 on both counts.
dischord rocks. the were selling fugazi patches at newberry comics. i rember from guitar world how they dont wanna sell t shirts and and things along those lines . well any ways i got the patch mailed it to dischord and told them were i got it from. then sent me the cost of the patch and a few cd's. another side note is that on the back of the cd's from dischord is a price ur not spose to pay more then that price with tax.
wat recored lable would help out there fans that much.
i wanna start my own lable like those guys did or get on dischord.
"Dear Against Will
We have lots of money and will continue to make more regardless.
nike sucks anyway
We hAv The rabbit
reebok would have never done this.
that will piss off most poeple who actually own that record.
And it was a totally brilliant and un-biased article, too.
Since when was web-based MUSIC NEWS ever credible or objective in the first place, canopener?
IMO, pretty cheap move. Is anyone actually surprised, though?
I too am skeptical. Corporations don't just **** around. Someone from Minor Threat is just getting greedy.
I would not be surprised if Discord slaps on a nice lawsuit. I know they probably don't want to do that - but its the only thing a bunch of suits would recognize.
Or someone from Nike, not paying for the licences and copyright. Wait, they are greedy already. Nevermind
You clearly are not familiar at all with Minor Threat and Dischord. "Greedy" is about the last adjective you can throw at them.
And don't be dense, corporations blank around all the time.
