For the first time in years, I'm not getting anything musically related for Christmas. I've suffered severe GAS for a long time (thanks TB!) and have satisfied it for the most part. This got me thinking. What would I ask Santa for if money wasn't an issue? For me it would be a Spector Coda 4DLX. What would you ask Santa for if you could have anything?
Rickenbacker 4003. I was close to pulling the trigger but went over budget on a new amp and cab instead.
I've had a 1979 4001 that I played for many gigs over the course of more than a decade. Great bass. I hope Santa brings you a 4003.
How about lessons with my favorite bassist in the world? Santa actually came through on this one and if all goes well I'll start in a couple of days....
Sounds awesome, great idea. Is it someone we've heard of? I'd love to take a few lessons from Doug Wimbish.
Julie Slick. I was just reading a thread just the other day in which a guy was talking about recently taking some lessons from Doug Wimbish. Make some inquiries and you probably could, too!
We should petition Julie to go to Tony Levins' Band Camp, next year. Adrian, Tlev and Pat Masteloto are already going. Who are your upcoming lessons with, if I may be so nosy?
Probably more guitar stuff than bass stuff at this time, my SR500F is enough for me right now--but a matching fretted bass would be cool too. Ad bass wise Traynor makes some cool bass amps.
