Discussion in 'Effects [BG]' started by stompfrog, Jun 29, 2005.

  1. The title says it all really...

    Check out the website

You can download the song little girl for free.

It is a beefy bass distortion and a singing drummer.

Can anyone shed some light on the nature of the box's lying on the stage near the bassists feet.

PS - What do you think of the track?

According to July's Bass Player, he uses "amps distortion." I'm not sure if he means he overdrives the amp or if he uses built in effects. It says his rig is a "Vintage Peavey and Acoustic heads with two Traynor 8X10 cabinets loaded with PA speakers."

It also says he uses an Ibanez SC10 Chorus and a GCB-95 Cry baby.

Jessie is a great guy, and a total tone snob.

Rick -> Crybaby (moded to HELL) -> Ibanez Stereo Chorus, which he uses for the squeely sounds (by bringing his bass up to one of the top cones of the cab - thus creating a feedback loop) as well he leaves it on all the time -> then he splits the signal to:

    a. Acoustic 360 full on fuzz -> vintage V patern 8x10 tranor cab with paper cones.

    b. Peavy Colisium 400 (lynard skynard model) with gain up full again, for some raunchy distortion. Man, whgen you stand in front of his cabs - your pants flap around, and you can feel it in your gut.
