Decision time: BG250-112 or GK MB1100 or Promethean 3110

Decision time: BG250-112 or GK MB100 or Promethean 3110

These choices all are around $350.

I play bass for a worship team. We use IEMs, but I really like having the feel from my bass while I play. I'd only use it a bit at home or elsewhere, at least for now.

Right now, I use a QSC K12 PA as a monitor, but I want something lighter and smaller. I'm probably looking for something about 20 lbs, and shorter than 15 inches.

    Pros for each choice AFAIK:

    - portable enough
    - nice tone
    - onboard effects
    - I've tried it in person

    GK MB110
    - GK brand has solid reputation
    - reviews are positive here and elsewhere
    - apparently portable enough
    - Note: I have *not* seen this one in person

    Promethean 3110
    - portable enough
    - nice tone
    - Tried it in person
    - Has a kickstand to angle it up a bit
    - Support a local store I like

    Your thoughts?
    - Joe

I have the Promethean 3110's predecessor 5110 - but have never played the 3110.
If the P3110 is even a half-sibling to my 5110 he gets my vote!

You can`t go wrong with the TC Electronic BG250 series - they`re very light, extremely easy to dial in your tone and when adding the dual TonePrint effect (only one wo the pedal) you have a winner. My fav TonePrints are Octave and Chorus... But then again, my main rig is a TC RH450 with a RS 210 + RS 112 so I`m kinda overpositive to the TC products :)

Thanks for the replies. FYI, I ordered the GK. Joe
  6. Hi, did you decide? I am currently trying to choose between the Ibanez and the TC.

I have just received the GK MB110. I am going to try it out tonight at band rehearsal. Cheers, Joe

    Hi there!

Have you tried it? What is your opinion about MB110?

Yes I have used it successfully over the last few weeks.Keep in mind it is basically a convenient foot massager for me on stage. One negative is that the headphone jack is noisy. But not important to me. Thx, Joe

Thank you very much for the answer, I think I'm also going for this one :)
