    Because Hofners are great if:

    A. You can afford one
    B. You love the Sir Paul tone

    No secret there.

Off topic but I saw Deerhoof open for Wilco in Chicago and it was some of the weirdest, most unpleasant noise I've ever heard. All the singer did was say "eee ahhh boo ahhhh!" again and again and again and again until I wanted to blow my brains out. Then I read they had like 5 albums... but the only playing which made any sense was the drummer, he was good. That's just my impression but it was WEIRD man. Especially as an opening band for Wilco.

  5. I love Deerhoof. Just thought I'd throw that in.

According to Saotomi, the secret is: “It’s T.L.C., ‘tender loving cub’ music.”

I, too, love Deerhoof. To me they're continuing the trend of bizarre and infectious pop that the Pixies started. I haven't had the chance to see them live, my friend saw them with Why?...I was jealous :spit:
