I've been looking for a 5 string fretless, and came upon this add. I was wondering if I can get your input on it - do you think it's a good deal or not? I've had no experience with Spectors, but I've tried a couple and thought they were pretty interesting for me.
The poster of the ad said "It was defretted. It's korean made. EMG pickups. I have no clue when it was manufactured."
I've included the image below, as well as the specs from a link the poster sent.
    Your feedback is much appreciated!

    • NS body
    • Quilted maple top
    • 3-piece rock maple bolt-on neck
    • 35" scale
    • 24-fret rosewood fingerboard
    • Deluxe cast bridge
    • Black hardware
    • High-impedance, passive, USA EMG-SSD pickups
    • Spector Tone Pump Jr.
    • 2 -band active tone circuit

    Not a good deal.

Lookd like a Performer model, which would go for $200-300 used in good condition. Taking out the frets brings the value down even more, unless he can prove it was professionally done, with filler and a coating.

Lastly, stringing it like a hippy acoustic guitar is an automatic -$50.
