Delay Pedal? Evil? Or Goood?

Discussion in 'Effects [BG]' started by Osama_Spears, Feb 26, 2003.

  1. Hello,I was wondering...I have a delay pedal here,It's originally for guitar I think...is there a difference/would it hurt my bass and/or amp if I used it with my bass?

    Delay pedals are awesome.

You should have a blast, I would not worry about hurting your amp.
  3. "guitar" pedals will not in any way hurt you...

  5. Yeah, I picked up an old Ibanez Soundtank delay the other day..... it's soooo much fun! Setting the number of repeats as high as it can go, and playing simple stuff, you can build up some really cool layers of sound, it's great!

Since delay is a "time" effect, and doesn't have anything to do with range, then does the same apply to reverb? I guess what I'm saying is will a reverb, or reverb/delay pedal work with bass? Thanks.
