I'm a big fan of the Strymon Brigadier. The input doesn't distort and it has wide frequency range.

  4. Did you have any specific tones or a general sense of what kind of delay you're after?

Delay has a lot of different types from MXR's carbon copy, which sounds dark, older and possibly warmer to the Red Panda Particle, which is just bonkers.

Dispatch Master from Earthquaker Devices is cool because it is a reverb too.

  7. I'm really looking for something to fill out the sound, I've tried some plug ins and liked they the sound just blossomed, now to find one for a live setting

  8. Any chance you could put up some clips?

  9. Hold the laughter but I'm a huge fan of the Danelectro Danecho delay for bass. It has a high cut that allows for some sweet bass tone. The footprint is a tad big but they are bulletproof.

This is a pretty vague post, so I'm going to recommend a tc electronic flashback. I have the mini version and the ability to beam tone prints to the pedal increases its versatility ten fold.

Plenty of pedals are going to give you a good delay sound but the small footprint and options of the flashback made for a permanent spot on my own board.

image. I've always liked the old Boss DM 2 pedal ,very warm sound, although these days there are probably more suitable pedals for bass players.

Empress Tape Delay.. Tap tempo. 3 presets. Clean or some warm tape warble. Great unit. Love it.

You also can't beat a Boss DD-7 or another Boss delay.

  15. TC Electronics Flashback, not the mini version, the full size stereo version. It has lots of modes and a "hold the button down" tempo. It's also cool to run in stereo with the ping-pong effect.

  16. I know a lot of people look down on Digitech, but I use their Digidelay and I love it. I think I paid $40 for it on eBay, shipping included.

    I use just a basic Boss DD-3.

It works, it's plentiful, doesn't get lost in the mix, and is inexpensive.

The digitech hardwire dl-8 is nice. Lots of delay options and a looper too
