I play the bass. I have a 72' Eb-3 and soon a vintage P-bass. Im thinking of getting a delay pedal cause my guitarist wont. Is there one that sounds cool on a bass in drop C or maybe on vocals too????? Im looking for some trippy sounds out of my bass or maybe through my mic when I get on some b/g vocals.

What about the Boss pedals? The DD-3, etc, etc. Anyone ever use one of these on a bass or vocals?

I have a Boss DD-20 and it sounds great with bass. The thing goes up to 23 seconds, which makes it a decent looping pedal as well.

One thing to think about before buying a delay, esp. with bass, is that the rest of the band will have to sync up to the tempo of the delay (if you're using long, trippy delay times). If you and they are used to playing along with a click, drum machine, or sequences then it shouldn't be a problem. Otherwise, it might be cause for some grief.
