I was hoping to turn my standard pbass into a deluxe pbass special. That requires that i change the pbass neck to a jazz bass neck. Is this possible? can i simply bolt a jazz neck onto my p bass? Thanks.

  2. For the most part, yes. You can buy replacement necks off of ebay, or even get a graphite neck from Moses. I believe the actual base of the neck on Jazz and Precision basses are about the same size. You might have to shim it a bit to make it a tight fit, but it will work.

You can do that with out a problem. The neck pockets of Fenders are standard. The only way they differ is in the nut width, which makes them very interchangable. It was meant so it would be rather painless.
