Anybody know what's going on here: I've been running through the Demeter tube di as part of my chain, and lately it's been slowly fading out and then slowly fading back in randomly. I've had to bypass it, and now can't use it for an important gig tonight. Tube? Fuse? Back to Demeter? Any ideas?

I'd try a different tube and if that makes no difference send it back to Demeter.

Fading in and out is one of the classic symptoms of a bad tube. Also loss of high and low end, sounding dull, noises, etc.

That was the problem. Tossed a new 12ax7 in there and it sounds better than ever. Thanks

Good news. Usually those tubes have a long service life but things happen. Never hurts to keep a spare handy to avoid down time.
