Desktop (Monitor) Speakers for playing Bass at home?

    I have good 8” studio monitors, and they still aren’t a great solution for bass at anything but low levels, and the problem there is the acoustic string noise becomes too present in what I hear at any workable volume. They would be better with a sub, but I use a regular bass cab instead.

    My choice in this case would be headphones for bass. Small monitors will help you do mixes, but headphones will still be useful for checking the low end. Eventually, a small bass amp would be a fun thing for your bass playing.
