I need these measurements for 2 basses in particular but maybe others...

What is the length of the pickup for a TBC (the bass company) 5 string MM pickup without the tabs? How about distance between center of poles?

Same question but for a standard Ernie Ball Musicman (old type with regular tabs?)

E-mail the folks at Nordstrand with all of your questions. They helped me a lot.

  3. From another recent thread IIRC Carvin make MM style 6 string pups.

    According to Bartolini's dims:

    No tabs - 4.39" x 1.93"
    With tabs - 3.98" x 1.90"
    With tabs (extended 19mm spacing) - 4.60" x 1.90"

    According to Nordstrand dims:
    No tabs - Pickup length = 4.415", width = 1.950"
    With tabs (extended 19mm spacing)- 4.10" x 1.90"

    There you go. :)

Dimensions are 1 and 7/8" wide and 4" tall without the tabs.

It's 4 and 1/2" tall with the tabs.

Nope, measured from a Carvin 6 string fretless w/ an MM in the bridge and a J in the neck.
