It has come to my attention that within the last year ALL of Detroit's major pro sports teams have changed leadership. This is not a slight on the WNBA team, but their not quite major yet. Anyway, a quick Analysis:

PISTONS: We appreciate what you did here Larry Brown, and the playoffs will be the true test of Flip Sanders, but we like what we see so far. You were not a "victim" here, you were a distraction, it's about the players! The soap opera has already started in NY.

RED WINGS: Dave Lewis was great guy, just in the wrong place at the wrong time from a franchise that demands excellence. Mike B. is a great addition. Good luck Dave on your next endeavors, GO WINGS!!!!

TIGERS: Allan Trammels on the job training was taking a bit to long. The team was not a playoff team last year. BUT, they certainly should have finished at .500. The parts proved better then the sum of the parts, man what happened to a once storied franchise?

KITTIES: Mooch was pathetic, not much better then Morningwaigh! But the Kitties are cursed, they could hire the reincarnations of Shula, Lombardi, or Tom Landry and they would still take the wind in OT, It's a curse I tell you!!!! :D

Yeah, unfortunately all our teams (but the Red Wings) seem to suck big time.

Is it true that a long, long time ago. The Wings sucked like The Lions?

hahah I put "Detroit sucked like the lions" first :D

  4. By the way, how 'bout them Wolverines? Weren't they like in the top 10 in the preseason polls?

Detroit has it better than most. Although the Lions suck, the Wings and the Pistons are annual contenders.

They had a pile of injuries, both starting safeties, starting corner, three offensive lineman, Michael Hart, and Steve Breton. It added up, they lost way to many close games because they couldn't run consistently. All of their losses were on the last possession. Carr does get WAY to conservative on the offensive end at times.

Dude, have you been like out of town the past three Junes? Eastern conference Finals, NBA Title, and within a quarter of winning it again. I wouldn't call that "sucking big time"!

I suffer through all of those atrocius lions games on sundays every year. This is my conclusion. mariucci, which lives like 1/2 mile from my mom wasnt the only one at fault! yes he played overconservatively and made lots and lots of bad calls but you can only do so much with what you are given..... having said that millen need to be fired. he is ultimatelt responsible for the ball club and if they keep sucking year after millen year well then he is the problem! they havent had a good QB since I was born more or less.

I am even offering up my tix for this sunday (by the way if anyone wants them PM me) they're row 19 off the field at the 35 yard line visitors side (3 tix: 3,4,5).

    my 2 cents.

Kinda like the Arlington Cowboys or the Orchard Park Bills or the New Jersey Jets? I could get writers' cramp if I kept the list going on major city teams that play in the suburbs.

I don't know, but hearing Mason saying "DEEEEE-Troit BASSSSketball" sounds a lot better than hearing "Auburn Hillllls BASSSSketball. :p ;)

    Peace,

Dude! Didn't know you were a fellow masochist (pronounced "Lions' Season Ticket Holder") What section are you in? I'm in Section 113, Rows 34 & 35.

Did you forget about the Pistons? For the past two years, they have been a very good team.

You can't please everyone. This guy may be one of those fans who complains about anything short of a championship.

From a Blackhawks fan to a Red Wings fan, let me just say that one of the reasons we hate the Wings such much is that they are consistently better than the Blackhawks. Not to mention our players have a habit of ending up over there. I'll still never forgive management for sending Chelios over.

sect 126, row 19, 3,4,5 on the visitors 35 far side.
at the dome wer sat 5 rows off the field lions side, which was great when barry played, we got to watch him run back and forth across the field more than up and down (because of mediocre offensive lineup.) but never the less exciting.
now I want to stick those coated almonds in my ears and put my head in one of those bags!
