Here is something you don't see every day. This fretted five string electric bass was hand made in the U.S. Here is the maker's web site:

    http://www.devonguitars.com/ddmodel.html

    The specs on this bass:
    Three-piece bolt-on maple neck
Ebony fingerboard with twenty-four medium jumbo frets, 35" scale length
    White side dot markers
    Gold Hipshot UltraLite tuners
Beautifully figured schedua top and matching headstock
    Prima vera body
Bartolini Jazz and Music Man style pickups
    Bartolini 18 volt three-band preamp
    Walnut control cavity cover

This is a very tough sounding bass, with excellent playability, in excellent plus shape. I think $1,200 is a very fair price for this bass in a quality gig bag.

Thanks for the question. The scale length is 35". Pictures of the back are on the way! I'll also re-photograph the front, as you can't see the top very well in my first photos.

  4. I saw a couple of Devons on the lowend site not long ago. Very nice looking basses. That is quite a bass for a very fair price. I'd like to see a pic of the back too.

This is a major steal of a deal... as a Devon owner, these basses are of amazing quality and arguably on par with the best of the best. If I hadn't changed gears here, this one would be mine... :)
