Reluctantly selling this gorgeous one-of-a-kind custom Devon. It is truly amazing and in excellent condition. Stunning open grain scorched ash body with all the Devon trimmings like magnet enclosures for batteries and electronics cavity, rolled fingerboard, recessed knobs, angled headstock (no string tree needed here!), and zero fret. Really nice! Plays awesome with low action. You can feel the open gain. Very cool. Vintage tint on the neck and fingerboard.

This beauty comes in under 9 lbs!
    • body: Chambered Ash
    • top: Ash
    • neck: 3-piece maple
    • fretboard: 24-fret Maple
    • scale: 34 inch
    • bridge pickup: Two hum-canceling Nordstrand Jazz bass pickups in a custom BigMan shell with coil-tap switch (bridge-both-neck)
    • neck pickup: Nordstrand Big Split
    • preamp: Nordstrand 3b, 18-volt, 3-band with master volume (with push/pull for active/passive), tone, blend, treble and mid (with push/pull for mid-shift switch) and bass
    • hardware color: Black
    • bridge: Hipshot A, 19mm
    • tuners: Hipshot Lollipop
    • finish: Scorched with nitrocellulouse tabacco burst finish
    • cover: Magnetically-fastened electronics covers
    • weight: 8lbs, 7oz
Will ship in Reunion Blues Continental case.

There’s a lot of tones baked on with the versatile pickup combo and Nordstrand preamp with active tone control.

This is the latest generation Devon with downsized and lighter body. In virtually like-new condition other than scratch on back of neck in the nitrocellulose. Very hard to photograph but you might be able to see it in the extremely zoomed in picture below of back of neck. You don't really feel it.

The Ash grain is superb and the burst finish is gorgeous. Just a stunning looking and playing instrument.

    $2800 $2575 shipped CONUS.

Awesome! Does the splittable pickup do the 60s/70s thing convincingly?

Yes and no. I don't think the two coils are in exactly the same spot as the 60s/70s spacing but you can certainly switch between the two or run both coils together. All are hum canceling.

Anyone that has interest in this bass I encourage you to jump on it. I’ve owned all the high end bass guitars in the 3-$6000 price range and you won’t find a better value anywhere. Buy with confidence that this bass will blow you away.
