This is a stunning bass. Devon #1816 Gen5 edition. Attention to detail is second to none. An awesome piece! One of the best playing and sounding basses I've ever owned. The B string is thunderous. Super low action. If you haven't experienced one of Devon's necks you owe it to yourself. Nothing like it. The radiused no fret edges is amazing. These basses are works of art. The electronics cavity is attached with magnets for easy access. Same with the battery enclosure. I've never seen a more tidy electronics cavity. This Devon is loaded! body: Chambered Alder top: Rare Old Growth Curly Redwood neck: 3-piece maple fretboard: 24-fret Pau Ferro scale: 35 inch pickups: Nordstrand Zen Blades with coil-tap switches preamp: Nordstrand 3b, 18-volt, 3-band with master volume (with push/pull for active/passive), tone, blend, treble and mid (with push/pull for mid-shift switch) and bass hardware color: Black bridge: Hipshot A, 19mm tuners: Hipshot Lollipop finish: Clear gloss on body and headplate/satin on neck cover: Magnetically-fastened electronics covers weight: 8lbs, 13oz Yes, a light weight! Link to this bass on the Devon website: Devon Bass Guitars This beauty is in like-new condition. The electronics are awesome. Zen Blades rock! Killer tone. Stellar playability. Selling really only because I have another Devon in 34" scale that I prefer just a little bit more. I'm debating about having another Devon built. $2900 shipped CONUS with Reunion Blues Continental case in like-new condition. Possibly open to trades for other higher end 5-string basses. Message me with what you've got to offer in trade. Thanks!
You will regret letting this bass go believe me lol. Folks you won’t find a better bass anywhere in the web for close to this price.
Beautiful man. If I didn’t already have a Devon and another on the way I would be all over this. It’s still tempting to be honest. Anyone on the fence should take the plunge. These basses are beasts.
I'm the guy who is/has been pretty happy with all of the sub-$1500 (often VERY sub) basses he owns/has owned in the past...but now and then, one of these higher-end/boutique axes pops up and make me go "DDDAAAYYYUUUUMMMM"... I'd have to swap out those lollipop tuners for clovers though...
