DI ing a head without a cab.

  1. Does it work. and is it bad for the head, my head is solid state and tube preamp, with solid state power.

    It works fine to the best of my knowledge.
     
  3. Should be no problem with a SS head, don't even think about it with a tube head.

    +1. Works fine with SS Power. Tube heads don't work though. However some modern tube heads have a speaker off switch which basically simulates a load to the power tubes without actually heading to the speaker.
