I did a little home studio recording with a friend over the weekend and came to the following conclusions.

    * A passive Fender USA Jazz bass plugged directly into the board is one of the most perfect bass tones ever achieved. Damn easy, too.

    * My Tacoma Thunderchief CB10E4 is great. We recorded it direct and miced using some Russian large diaphram condenser mic. Mixed the direct and mic'ed sounds about 50/50 and the sound was very nice.
