I play a Fender P Bass Special Deluxe Series.

Made in mexico, p/j pups, j neck, p body, VOL VOL TONE, jack on the bottom of the bass.

I dont see it on the Fender site or any stoes sites, ie wwbw.com or musicansfriend.com

  2. It's part of the Fender Deluxe series. Fender Precision bass Special. GO to Fender.com and choose basses, followed by deluxe, and you'll see it. It should still be alive and well.

I remember Fender making the same bass but with upgraded an active preamp: Volume/Volume/Treble/Bass but I don't see it on their site any longer.

i think that bass was american made too.

  6. Hmm, it was on the site until a short while ago. One local shop just got in a new one, probably new old stock or something. Hmm, I had no idea. I'm guessing it's discontinued... maybe they're getting rid of it to make way for that Frank Bello sig bass (P/J with 2 knobs or something of the sort)?
