did i get a bad string??

Discussion in 'Strings [BG]' started by dancehallclasher, Mar 26, 2003.

  1. just put a new set of DRs on, and the E string sounds funny. the fretted notes sound almost normal but the open string and harmonics fluctuate. it sounds like when you're tuning a bass to itself with harmonics and it's just out of tune, but i'm only playing the one string.

is this a defective string? :meh:

most likely. a couple of people have experience similar problems with different brands and when they got a replacement, it was fine.

You're really the judge, dancehall. In the first month when DR put "Marcus" strings, (Fatbeams), on the market, I got a funky G string and DR/juststrings.com sent a whole new set at no charge.

After all, they are "The Handmade String."

I love Rotosound strings but stopped using them because of this.
About 1 out of 4 packs came with a dead string in it.
