Did Phil Kubicki Make Fender Style Bass Bodies ?

    I asking about the time he WAS NOT associated with Fender..I know he made necks but have not seen anybodies made by him.
    Just curious.

    I believe he did, I own one. Need to check the neck pocket. Let me know if you find any more. I want to buy a J

    How can I find more? Also, how do I verify the body is genuine? It doesn't have a neck pocket stamp like some but it looks identical to the others I have seen.

    I've seen various Fender style bodies and necks show up on eBay occasionally. Lock in Phil Kublicki as a search word and when something appears you'll get a post.

    Yeah. I have an all-Kubicki J bass. Also, I have his early 80s catalog somewhere. Pretty sure it has bodies of all Fender types.

    Yeah he definitely did. I think he may have gotten his start making bodies and necks? He made a custom P bass body and J neck for me in '82. Quality stuff. :thumbsup:
