As far as i know he still endorses Ampeg although he's been seen using other gear like a Walter Woods...

He helped co-design a cabinet line with steve bailey.

Wasn't he trying out a different cab at every gig recently?

I thought there was a rumor that he was seen playing through some of the new generation Hartke cabs.

I was under the understanding from threads here on TB that his endorsement from Ampeg was not renewed. And that he was talking with other manufacturers to "possibly" endorse their lines. I was just curious to see if anybody who knows Vic had heard of a new deal being inked.

He was trying out full rigs each night of the tour. What I was told is he liked the new heartke's, and the aguilar's were dark to his liking. No info from other amp sources..

  8. Jack Bruce chose them over a bunch he tried out at rehearsals for the Cream reunion too. Getting past the bad rap Hartke gets, they make some good sounding gear.

I love Hartke for a lot of stuff. I just wish they were lighter and did the low b a little more justice. :meh:

Bergantino was in there someplace too. Is Vic still on tour? I'd like to catch a show if he's stopping near me.

  11. He's off to Europe soon. Lets ask Anthony, but if it not official, then its not official.

Gee I just bougth a Hartke 2 10 to slave off teh 1 15 Mesa Scout. Inexpensive. Does the B well.

Vic was using some Berg gear, however there is no Berg endorsement.

  14. I'm very impressed with the new Hartke heads. I haven't heard the new cabs yet, but their line of endorsers in the ads is quite impressive. I look forward the hearing these cabs.

I've always been a big fan of the tone of the 4.5XL, or whatever that newer aluminum cone 410 is called... but just WAY too heavy for me.

So did mine. My Pro 2200 did it pretty well too. They were just too damn heavy. Their lighter stuff doesn't do it at all IMO. :meh:

I'll give you that, the 4.5XL is a heavy bugger of a cab. But for the sound I get from it, I'm willing to overlook that. Anyway, I bought a little foldy-up handtruck, so no sore back for me!:smug:

I know he's trying out different equipment, but when I saw him in Portland he was using an Aguilar rig. If it sounded as good to his ears as it did mine, then he will choose Aguilar.

  18. I have seen some photos of the S. Clarke, M. Miller & V. Wooten tour and Vic uses Hartke but then again Marcus uses EBS! I through he had gone back to SWR!
