I once had impure thoughts. Oh, and I pluck my ear hair.
It's a hybrid that features bass and guitar strings and pickups, allowing him to play both "instruments" simulaneously.

Pretty amazing to watch him play it live.

Do you think that he'd have traded it in if it had 'mojo'? It may not have a very usable tone.

  5. I'd like to try it...but i probably wouldn't buy it

Charlie is amazing. Chops? Sure! But tons of feel and music coming out of him. I have the DVD and really enjoy what he does but mostly because its music coming out of him if you know what I mean. Mojo or whatever.

Bruce, if close your eyes and listen to him play you would swear there is a really tasty bassist and guitar player who are really listening and playing off of each other.

I met him years ago and he told me that he had taken the time to study some of the great bass players like Paul Chambers and I believe Ron Carter.

I know all about him - but that doesn't change the fact that that is a guitar!! ;)

I've seen several players in the UK with 8 string guitars - not as nice as that admittedly....

  9. +1. He may be the most amazing musician I've seen in person. Him or Michael Manring, it's a toss-up.
