nobody knows what the word "luthier" means except for some bassists and guitarists.

    Go ahead - aks someone.

  2. I imagine other stringed instrumentalists would know, wouldn't they? (Orchestral strings at least).

    :D

I just asked three different people who happen to be visiting at my place right now: my band's drummer, a co-worker, and my brother-in-law.

They all looked at me funny. Yer right.

I just asked my sister and she thought I was talking about Lex Luthor.

    Hey Joe,
Remember me? That BA-115 I got from you is still going strong. Been used just about everyday since I've had it and not one problem. That amp has seen me go from sucky newbie to um...well...not so sucky :). Anyway have a slice for me, I sure as hell can't find a decent one out here!

I miss that amp from time to time :( . I'm glad it's getting lots of use and love.

And yes, the wonders of living in Brooklyn. It does have a few benefits.

As fer the thread, I decided I'd have some fun with it today. I work in a HS. Asked lots of people, they even typed the word into their handy dandy little electronic dictionaries - nobody knew it! I think we made it up.

My pocket Webster doesn't have it it either.
