They seem to have similar tonal controls, and the same power rating. Is the Ampeg B2R just the new model of the SVT-200T?

a subject that I actually know something about. :D
I own an ampeg SVt 200T and an Ampeg B4r (same as a B2r with 2 350 watt power sections. The Tone controls on a SVT 200T are very different from the B2. The 200T in my opinion is a much Warmer sounding amp. the bass boost is to die for. NOT the same as the bass boost on the new ampegs. The bass boost on the new ampeg also suck out all the mid range. On the SVT200T the bass boost does not suck out all the mids. To me The SVT200T is a tone monster that should never have been discontinued. Totally different sounding amp. These pop up on ebay about once a month for around $350. I will never get rid of mine unless it catches and fire or something.
