Difference between guitar and bass effect pedals

    From what I can, both types of pedals work the same and have the same parts in them. I see different types of distortion, wah and other effects, so can anyone explain what the big difference is?

    Mostly bass pedals are designed with a clean blend to retain low end and EQ sweeps are centered around frequencies that electric bass usually occupies.
