Different Models of Basses(Gamba, Violin, Busetto)

    Hey guys, this question has probably been asked before but i thought id just post a new thread. Anyways, i was wondering what were the similarities and differences between the three different styles of basses. (Gamba, Violin, Busetto) Other then the shape and size of them what are the pro's/con's and the similarites and differences. Thanks

    There are no pros or cons apart from your own personal opinion with regards to the visual aesthetics of the different shapes. Every single bass is different, so it's impossible to make generalizations about something like the kind of corners. The three 'styles' you mention have nothing to do with size, only the shape of the corners.
