looking for ease of use, less menus, but good effects, and lots of presets,cd burner,

    looking at the..

    Tascam DP-02FX/CD
    the
    Tascam DP-01 FX/CD
    and the
    Boss BR-1200CD
it has the programmable drums, the video dvd manual looked good..but wasnt crazy about the lack of faders, the other two models are more"portastudio-ish" or more similar to a mixing board..

any input or experiences with these units anyone?..
I may eventually get a second laptop for music and video editing, but for now,I'd like something like this with a cd burner.

  2. I really like my DP-01FX, it's fast and easy to record on and the quality is very good. With any DAW there are limitations but the only one that has vexed me is the limitation of 2 trax at a time, challenging for drums or live band but there are solutions.
I am very careful with my stuff and have not had any problems with my machine.
I am hoping in the next year to move up to the 2488 which would solve my input issues and expand to 24 trax.
