Has anyone tried (or does anyone own and use) the Digitech Vocal 300 processor? I know it is kind of "cheapy" & "cheesy" but it looks like it could be fun for weird vocal effect sounds (especially in my electronica-type of band).

    any thoughts or reviews?

Even better yet: does anyone have sound samples of it?

Doesn't pertain to bass, I'm going to have to toss this one in misc.

I played with a guy who used one. He is a brilliant vocalist, but this thing made him sound like crap. I would avoid it the same way I'd avoid having my fingers crushed with a mallet.

is the upgraded version any better? my friend has the guitar model that has the USB link to recording software; most of it is useful for metal and punk but its got cool noise effects too
