I have had one for years. Get the old one if you can find it. It is awsome for bass. All the harmonies and pitch benders track very well. It has a good sounding octave that shifts from 1 octave down to 1 up, killer! The whas are not geared towards bass, but, who needs a guitar wha anyway. I would recomend it without reservation.

  2. what about that Bass Whammy that was out a while ago? Still available?...any good?... better off just getting a normal one?...
real time expression pedal pitch bending is the only thing i miss from my zoom 506... it did a poor job of it but damn was it fun.

nope, no longer available. You're better off with the bass whammy if you can find one but, the red whammy works just fine.

  4. The red whammy being the one on musicians friend(the link)? Thanks, nate

I had a bass whammy several years ago, and it was crap. It had a VERY thin black plastic outer casing that flexed when you stepped on it. If you stepped too hard on the pedal, the signal would glitch and cut out.

I didn't think it tracked in tune at all, and was only good for wild dive-bomb sound effects, as opposed to anything that could remotely be called musical expression.
