I am going to take my dimarzio 123s and my bass to a music shop, to get them installed (birthday was yesterday :p finally got cash to get them installed! woo!):p i am too dumb myself to do it, and i don't have a soldering rod or any skill using them.. if i ask the guy to add a push/pull pot and wire them series/parallel, will he know how? What is a push/pull pot? Would it make a pot go up/down, and i would just pull it up if i wanted series, push it down if i wanted parallel? or vice versa? is series/parallel even the right word i am looking for? Could it make the tone pot push/pull? What is the ideal pot?

Ps - I have about $150 cash to waste on bass stuff, and a $50 certificate at guitar center. What should I go for? i think I'm gonna pick up a dredgetone angler, or something.

Sorry if this post sounds retarded i am up kind of late ;p

Check out these threads, and you'll have some more info, and a diagram to show the tech guy if there's any confusion.
