Dimarzio P is HOT!

    I swapped out pickups in my cheap Squier P bass yesterday. Dropped in a 1985 Dimarzio pickup. I can't believe how much louder this pickup is against the stock Squier pickup. I had to pad my GK, it was clipping like mad with the input volume at 9 o'clock.

    The old Squier pickup wasn't weak, it would hit the peak light every once in a while too, but the Dimarzio is a beast! It's not all heat though, it has plenty of warmth and just sounds like a great P bass.

    DiMarzio Makes some great stuff. I can't speak for every pickup they make, but I really like my Ultra Jazz pickups.

    Glad you got your wiring issue sorted out.

    I have Dimarzio pickups in my Nash P bass and they sound great..I also believe they make pickups for Sadowsky...
