Dear community, Since our guitarist will switch between drop D and standard A tuning, I am planning on tuning to ADADG on my Dingwall combustion bass. However, I currently don't like the tension of the lower A and D strings (stock Dingwall strings, which are 45/58/75/98/127 I think). The top A, D and G strings feel fine. Any advice on which strings to buy? The variable scale thingy (36.25 - 34" scale) kinda got me confused. Do I just buy long-scale strings then? Thank you for your time, Staf
Check with Jason at bassstringsonline.com I'm sure he'll be able to advise you with a custom set of strings.
