Dingwall Droc standard 5 in a group setting

I got the Droc Monday afternoon and tried it with the group today. First off, I got nothing but compliments on how it looked and how they liked the matte black metallic color. I had heard it could be uncomfortable sitting down. It was no different than my other basses. I couldn’t even tell the fanned frets were there. It was no different to me than a parallel fret bass. I played the Droc through a fender bassman 800 hybrid and a bassman 610 cabinet. It definitely has the best B string I have ever played. This thing sounds huge and massive. It was so powerful that it vibrated the internet router off the cabinet it was sitting on. I smiled. The tone was magnificent. The band leader said by far it’s the best sounding bass I have ever owned. I would have to agree. I’m was kind of worried he may have an issue with the shape but he didn’t.

Congrats! I'm excited you got the dingwall. I love mine too(NG3). I honestly was surprised at how good it sounded live. Not that I didn't trust everyone raving about them, but I just didn't think I'd like it that much. I am a bit sad you sold the crescendo though 😭

I really hate to say this but in my opinion the bongo can’t compete with the low B string.
