Hello TB Fam, what we have here is a Dingwall NG-3 Nolly bass. I got this bass as a trade for a band which unfortunately didn’t materialize. I’m no expert on the Dingwall brand or their basses. I just Know from what I’ve seen in videos and spoken to the guys in the Dingwall group.
This bass feels smooth to play. The action is low and haven’t felt fret buzz. I’ve played it with a pick and fingers. Felt smooth via both ways. Sound wise the bass comes across as a smooth music style bass. With the preamp engaged their is a boost in the high end portion of the bass. It’s not a massive jump, but enough to where you feel it.

(Honestly speaking not sure if this is how it’s supposed to be) it’s got a rotary switch which gives you differing pickup options for tone. I’ll say this -This bass is PUNCHY- when the tone options are engaged and toyed with. It does have a variance of tone options between the pickups and tone options. The neck is maple and has a finish job which was done and it feels good to play.

It reminds me of Metallica’s Ride the Lightening Cover. But the Paint job is extremely well done. Bass looks like it came this way. Headstock was done and not gonna I’ve seen some crappy paint jobs but this one looks like it naturally came this way. This bass is a an 18V bass and it has the small cover which is held in via two magnets. This works just fine.
