When I take the DI out of my Hartke 3500, do I plug it into a line xlr connection on the mixer?

  2. Yes. you can go straight into any channel. Mic input/line what ever. If you are unsure knock the gain down on the mixer and bring it up until you get the set level.

yup yup..jsut as merls says. On a lot of mixers there is a line/mic selecter switch. If the mixer has one of those make sure you put it on line.
