Ok.. So I need to know a general distance to put the grill away from the speakers themselves? I've contructed the whole cabinet minus the face. I'm thinking I may have to redo it a little because I'm out of room to put the grill.:/ You think 3/4" - 1" is good or possibly less?

Is the speaker mounted on the front or back of the speaker baffle? If it is mounted on the back (and if the baffle is 3/4"), you could mount the grill directly to the front of the baffle. To more directly answer your question, I always design my cabs to have the grill 3/4" or more in front of the speaker.
