Does anyone make a rackmount tuner kit type thing? Cos I'd kinda like to make one but wouldn't shell out loadsa money for it (cos I don't have a real job). So does anyone do one? I know Maplin don't... At least their online catalogue doesn't have one on it...

So any info would be much appreciated (or perhaps an online plan of how to make one or something?).

Maybe I'm wrong, but a tuner seems like a pretty intricate thing. I don't really know that you could build one by hand (especially cheaper than you could buy one). Tuners aren't that expensive....

  3. You might be able to build an analog one fairly easily, but I agree for about 100 dollars you can get a great rack mounted tuner used. less then 200 new.

There are other discussion boards around about building effects maybe one of them might know.
