    mmmmmm-mmmm good! :hyper:

I can't get enough of playing my jazz now that I've got my bart pre in.
The ultras were good on their own and now they're great. :hyper:

The ultras seem to get reviews of being quite scooped. Does the pre have good mids you can dial in for cutting through in the mix?

I find my bass has alot of mids present naturally, so the scoop isn't an issue.
Its the 2 band pre, I don't really like mids on a pre-amp they always sound forced to my ears.
I find that a little low for punch and a little high for definition works much better.

Now I'm wondering how much better would nords sound....

I am considering a Bart pre to go with my Ultra Jazz equipped bass. What effect has the Bart had on your sound with those pickups?

with everything even, I find them pretty close to their bare sound.
Dialing in a bit of low makes them really smooth and warm, and a little high makes them a bit brash, so I don't use much of the high freq.
I also went with tone/tone, blend, volume for my pot setup. I like that MUCH better than tone, volume, volume.
