Do Fender Pure Vintage Bass Tuning Machines fit in an American Professional P bass neck?

    Not as a drop in. They fasten to the headstock differently. The capstans are a different size as well.

    I don't know if they will work ECONOMICALLY or not. Worst case you have the headstock holes filled and redrilled. With the holes that are there now, the strings will bend off the nut because of the different capstan diameter.

    No I mean what Fender tuning machines fit the American Pro Precision. I ordered the neck but have not purchased tuning machines.

    Here we go, They make the BM Lite, the MS4 Lite, and the DaVinci that will all fit.
    Machine Heads
    If I recall correctly Grover makes some too.
    Then there is, Gotoh, Hipshot, and others. These require screws in the back of the headstock though; what you really want is a 3/8" capstan
