do i swap MIM Jazz Deluxe 5 string for Ibanez BTB??

  1. My band has been recording for the last 3 weeks, and it has been quite a mission to say the least. Over the last little while my MIM JAzz Deluxe hasn't been cutting it live (we play originals that sounds somewhere between Sevendust, Pantera, and Godsmack), and in the studio it was the same.

So last nite out producer brought along a BTB and I redid all my tracks last nite, and the bass sounded soooo phat and was exactly what I was looking for.

I also play quite a bit of funk, pop rock, and reggae.
What I am wondering is, would i be getting a good deal swapping my MIM (1 year old)for the BTB (505)with no cash involved?
Is the BTB versatile and good for funk and other styles?

Would you do the swap yourself if you were in my situation?

    cheers guys and girls,

It's a decent deal, I wouldn't, but you seem to love the BTB, if that's what your looking for...what do you have to lose?
