OK, the rig I'll be running is an old Traynor YBA into an Avatar b210, it sounds pretty good, but I'd just like some more boom (bottom end) to it. What would be the best route to take for that? Adding a 1x15?

Personaly I like a 212 cab for that roll, but ya, a 115 will do it.

A 1x15 will give you massive low-end boom, and little else. A 1x12 or 2x12 will give you less bass, more treble, and a world of punch. Choose wisely.

Edit: Try a number of 1-15 cabs, they're certainly not all the same. I have one with an EV that has a whizzer cone, for instance. Not very boomy, but plenty of sizzle. Heck, I know a guy who uses, and likes, an open-backed 1-15 cab for bass. Not good for what you want, but certainly not boomy.
