Do pics or price motive you in buying a bass?

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by Texsunburst59, Dec 31, 2011.

  1. If you saw a Craigslist ad:

"Older Fender Bass. All original except knobs. Must sell by Today(Saturday Only) $ O.B.O.". From the ad you know that the bass is almost 2 hrs. from your house. You know by the pics provided that the headstock doesn't have a serial number, therefore it must be late '75 or older.

Which scenario makes you change all your plans and rush to bank to pull cash needed to get the bass. Does one motivate you more than the other? Don't know why anyone would post black & white pics, but I just threw it in make discussion more interesting. ;)

    1) Colorful pics of bass. Ad reads $1500 O.B.O.

    2) Overcast cloudy pics of bass. Ad reads $ 1200 O.B.O.

    3) Black & White pics of bass. Ad reads $ 900 O.B.O.
