Do this sound like flatwounds?

    I really like the tone of the bass in these songs. I'm not detecting any fret or string noise so i'm wondering if it might be flatwounds. All i know is that the bass played is a P/J style bass

    I can get plenty of fret noise with flats. The tone I'm hearing in the two tracks could be attained with rounds as well. To me, it just sounds like the treble is rolled back with a sweet comp.

    Does sound like flats to me.
