Do to put a finish on my fretless?

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous [BG]' started by tallguybcs, Feb 12, 2001.

  1. I just completed my fretless dano DC, did a horrable job, many gouges on the bass side of neck, but not major. It sounds great, but di I have to put a finish on it? I really wanna try marine epoxy, but is it too much work? WHat would be easiest and sound best?

What kinda wood is your fingerboard? You might not need any coating if it's hard enough.

Pedulla uses something called Diamondkote. This comes in different forms, don't know which Pedulla uses. It seems pretty easy to apply, and non-toxic.
I never heard/read about a repair on a Pedulla, so it shouldn't need redressing too often.
  3. its rosewood, and with just an hour or so playing on it untreated has left some marks on it, i need to put a finish on it. Is there a website I can go to for help? Im very stupid and dont want to make the defret worse then it already is.
