If so, this will make you forget that Ferris Bueller EVER had anything to do with Godzilla: http://www.godzilla-movies.com/news/998
Oh, I LOVE Gamera too (Gamera, is really neat! Gamera...is fulla turtle meat!) My 10 year old son's head just exploded when it dawned on him who it was. It's an even BETTER looking Godzilla than Godzilla2000, which up until now was just a fantastic looking monster. I TRULY hope this movie doesn't fall prey to the "Robert Zemekis" school of adventure moviemaking (I'm sure you know exactly what I mean), and takes the material seriously. The cast looks good, the behind the scenes stills are promising, and now this...I know it's 10 seconds, tops, but man, I am satisfied with this teaser!
My 7 and 11 year old boys are very much into Gamera, and I've tried to introduce them to Godzilla via the classic films, but for some reason they aren't taking the bait. This new movie might change my 11 year old's mind. It's probably too intense for the little guy.
I'm not sure if that is the title, but there's a new joint-venture (between a US studio and Toho!!!) Godzilla movie currently in post-production. Due out in 2014! The footage itself is from Comic-Con that just went down in CA this past weekend...I wonder if they brought viewers in in small batches in a fake elevator to view screens mocked up like office windows...pretty clever if so.
I just finished working on that thing last Friday. Always blows my mind that someone on set would risk a $100K+ a year gig to do a silly little phone vid like this and leak it.
According to the article the footage was leaked by a fan from the Godzilla Encounter exhibit, presumedly from last weekends Comic-con. I dont think anyone involved in the production has put their job at risk.
Ah, I didn't read the blurb...a cam of a preview. I assumed because I recognized the set and people working on set do actually do dumb stuff like that occasionally that that's what it was. It sure wouldn't have been the first time....
Actually I mostly did CAD drawings of rigging plans for the studio shots...not super exiting but the hours are more sane than being on set. I did show up there once in a while though...totally kickass caterers on this one!
Was a good one to learn early on to help with stretches and get the hands moving. My dad used to ask me to play it for him all the time when I still lived at home.
