  1. In my (and many others) opinion one of the best if not the best live album ever. Tons of energy, outstanding singing and playing, topped off with The Who's don't-give-a-f#&k attitude. A classic of classic rock.

    nope. I don't.

But some dood compared me to Entwistle a couple months ago. Kinda flummoxed me cause though I totally respect Entwistle and his playing, I've never heard him in my own playing.

Yep! I own the original version on vinyl and the expanded one on CD--I consider the expanded one a significant upgrade. Great album.

Didn't vote - I like The Who and have many albums, but not this one.

One of the most iconic and classic live albums ever released by anyone!
But sadly, do not currently own it. Lots of my vinyls got 86'd years ago.

I've never been without a copy either as LP or cd, and having lived on two continents. Essential listening for me.

Yep, have the double disc re-release. I also have Who's Last, but it pales in comparison.

    Damn...I do not!
So which version do I need to pick up ASAP?
(I'm looking at the 2-Disc version that includes Tommy).

IMHO this is one of those 100 or so albums that every bass player needs to own, or at least listen to a few times. One of the greatest live rock albums ever. I own every vinyl and CD version that's been released over the years. My fav is the 2 disc version with Tommy on it...A Quick One While He's Away just kills.

Bonus tip: the 2 disc reissue of Who's Next contains a 2nd disc of live stuff that is just incredible.

This is one of those essential albums that if you don't have it, you really must get.

One other thing... the mix is an old-school stereo mix with the bass in the left channel, guitar in the right and vocals in the middle. So, if you just pan hard left you get an isolated bass track plus vocals. Very cool!
