When a song is on that I love, I cut the monkey, as grandad used to say.
Plus I play a mean fingerstyle on the steering wheel or a wicked thumb style on the gear shift.

I sing out loud or listen intently to the bassline.
  11. Depends on the passengers. Parents, no. Friends, sometimes. By myself, just try to stop me.

I don't sing in the shower, but I do occasionally catch myself whistling.

There is something to be said aobut singing in the car.

Katharine Whalen of The Squirrel nut zippers was very nervous of her voice and her singing, the way she built up confidence was through practicing in the car while her husband, Jimbo Mathus(head man of SNZ) was not around. She has an absolutely beautiful voice, and she can Sing like few others.

that said, I don't have a car...I don't even have my license(I'm a slacker of the highest persuassion)But I do walk a 800 ft trail to get to school everyday(I live in the upper class man dorm located where some faculty live away from campus) and I am almost always singing, humming, freestyling, beat boxing, whatever on my way up and down the trail. I often think of basslines or song structures, or lyrics. unfortunatly I can never write them down.

I belt like Franklin. Not with passengers though.
  14. I rarely listen to music at all while driving alone. When someone else is driving, however, I'm definitely prone to singing along to whatever's blasting!

And as for the shower, I sing pretty much nonstop in there...

  15. Sure I do, doesn't everyone?

Unfortunately I sound like a cross between Tom Waits and Kermit the Frog. :D
  16. I only sing when I am driving by myself....I get so lonely.:(

Yeah I belt it out, sometimes I even improv lyrics too!
  18. Did anyone see the movie 'Office Space'?

There is a funny scene where one of the characters is singing along to a 'gangsta rap' song in his car... know the one? ;)

  20. yeah, i love that part. he's screamin' the lyrics and flippin' out, then a black dude pulls up next to him, and he shuts up and locks his door.
i love later, when the guys ask him what his favorite michael bolton song is!:D
