I'd also like to know how your quest for tone went.

 

I gave the ignor feature a try once, before the TB upgrade. It didn't work too well because I was still getting email notifications when people on your ignor list reply to a subscribed thread. Back then the emails didn't tell you who had posted. So I'd open the thread, see who it's from, and my initial frustration would be overcome by curiosity to see what silly thing this person might be saying.... he may even be talking about ME? I'd better read that post..............

As Brendan said, Mods can't really use the ignor feature. There's nothing stopping us, but I don't feel I could do my job as effectively if I wasn't keeping an eye on the TB pain-in-the-necks.

What kind of things would push you to put someone on your ignore list?.

 

I've never put anyone on mine. Doesn't make sense. Even the biggest knob has a chance to occasionally post some worthwhile advice.

That said, I don't think I'm on anyone's list. IIRC, I've only ever been a real jerk in one post, which I later apologized for and edited.

 

I suspect that I am on everybodys ignore list.
